Lakehead's institutional repository is called Lakehead University Knowledge Commons and is an online site for storing, preserving and sharing the intellectual output of the University. Lakehead University Knowledge Commons uses MIT's D-Space for organizing and preserving items. The Library will continue to develop the institutional repository by adding features like usage statistics for documents and integrating Lakehead University Knowledge Commons with other databases like our SearchItAll. The Library will participate in open access opportunities to maximize visibility by connecting to other repositories as such opportunities become available in the future.
